Prof. Mzikayise Shakespeare Binza (PhD)
University of Cape Point is a team of staff together in community with students and society it serves through its six faculties and a community college. I am honoured to be the first President of this set to be the foremost leading private university in education, research, innovation and training and committed to be respected worldwide in pursuit for truth and wisdom for the benefit of humanity. We are hard at work in designing various academic and professional programmes which are not only accredited and recognised in South Africa, but some will be internationally accredited and recognised. We are recruiting the best internationally respected academics in their fields to teach, mentor and couch our students.
Our university has been established at the right time as South African and global higher education is undergoing seismic shifts, facing extraordinary pressures of balancing the affordability and value paradigm. At Cape Point, the value of education is that which get students on progress to secure their first jobs, and contribute in shaping and evolving meaningful changes to organisations they work for or own. Lastly, through our research, teaching and learning our graduates will be known for the courage leadership for sustainable development and their outstanding value add to humanity.
The University of Cape Point is determined to create secured living and learning spaces. We also require to develop art and recreational facilities where our students will do sports such as rugby, soccer, tennis, softball, cricket and many other indoor sports.
