The governance of the University is overseen by the Council. The Council is the main executive and policy-making body. It is responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating the university Statute, and Strategic Vision of the University. The Council creates an enabling environment for the VC & CEO as Accounting Officer to perform his/her functions. The Council through its chairpersons and six other elected members (2 from business, 2 from senate and 2 students’ representatives) reports to the MZBIN HOLDINGS CHAMBER OF EMMINENT PERSONS twice a year.
The Council’s office period is 7 years and may be renewable for the second term only.
The Council may establish standing committees such as the Finance, Human Resources, Physical and Infrastructure, and the Planning and Resources Committees, etc. as per its Statutes.
